Start by looking at your utility bill. The energy usage comparison table at the bottom of your bill shows how much energy you used this month compared to last month, and to this month last year. Electricity is measured in kilowatt-hours, while gas is measured by hundred cubic feet. To cut your utility bill, you need to reduce those usage numbers.
