Call before you dig

If you’re planning any type of project that includes digging, both federal and state laws require you to call Dig Safe toll free at 1-888-DIG-SAFE (1-888-344-7233) at least three working days before you begin in order to learn where underground utility lines may be located.

Some underground lines are located just a few inches below the surface. Gas, electric, water, telephone and cable television companies all may have underground cables and pipes in spots you’d least expect. Don’t take chances with your safety.
