MG&E offers some of the lowest rates in the state. Here's why:

Because we're local, we're deeply concerned for our neighbors, area businesses and towns. That's a strong incentive to keep rates low. Public scrutiny also helps keep our costs in check.

We have no stockholders to pay, and no need to inflate rates for higher profits. Any rate change must be brought before our elected Board of Commissioners, and also requires a public hearing.
